Richard Silvius is a Georgia native with over a decade of dancing experience. He first fell in love with dancing during the Neo Swing craze that followed the famous GAP commercial.  As he continued to learn, Richard broadened is dance repertoire to include Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing and Ballroom dancing.
He competed with the dance troupe Slap That Bass in the Grand National Dance Championship in 2003.  Richard taught ballroom dancing with both the Atlanta and Marietta Arthur Murray studios, and taught independently before returning to Georgia where he now teaches at Allure Dance Studio. 
Richard believes strongly in the joy and benefits of social dancing, and his teaching focuses on building strong lead and follow skills.
